Blogging... everybody's doing it...

Blogging has been "the thing to do" for quite some time now, and "everyone is doing it", but Friday afternoon that fact was reaffirmed for me.

I was sitting there working on some old guys computer and randomly he's like, "how would I go about starting a blog?". I explained the concept behind Blogger and he seemed to be rather taken with the idea, he then went on to inform me that his sudden interest in the blogosphere stemmed from the fact he'd gotten an email from an old chum some weeks ago with a link to his blog, where he (his chum) detailed his exploits and adventures in the world of genealogy. I found this simply fascinating. I had to know more.

The afore mentioned old guy couldn't find the email with the link to his friends blog, but he promised he would pass it along to me if he dug it up. And I, in turn, promised to pass it along to the world through my vast circle of influence.

I tip my hat to all those old schoolers who are actually giving technology a try, kudos to them! I may be somewhat biased, because it seems those very people are the ones that keep me employed.
