coming soon: attack of the flies... of death

After years of heinous plotting my plans are finally coming to fruition! I’ve managed to make enough so called “connections” in the world to score a major web design contract. Which is pretty cool. Now comes the part where I have to deliver without screwing up… no pressure! :P

So in celebration of this milestone in my life I’ve spent the day glued to a chair drinking… coffee *grin* The Mill happens to be a very good place to spend your day studying, or designing web sites, and that’s forgetting to mention the great coffee. However today is proving to be rather pointless in the productivity department, one would think by the cloud of flies that had beset me that I had forgotten to shower this morning, which even though I’m sleep deprived I vaguely do remember my morning shower… I seem to recall some confusion as to which was the knob for the hot water and which was for the cold.

When I finally do decide to stand up, and be on my way out the door, I shall then journey to the land of cell phones and rate plans to renew my cell phone contract and get the bloody phone replaced (it barely works most days). So on one hand I’ll be shelling out a lot of money, but I won’t have to spend five minutes trying to get my phone to turn on each morning.

Anyhow, today has been powered in part by four measly hours of sleep, a Dr. Pepper and countless cups of coffee. My teeth no doubt have shifted to a nice shade of yellow but I refuse to buckle to the demands of sleep my mind is bombarding me with.

And that my friends (and random strangers) is all I wrote.

The wonderful world of WiFi

Yes, the day is finally here! The day when George sets up his own wireless network!!

Okay, so it's not that big of a deal, I've setup half a dozen wireless networks, but prior to this my apartment hasn't been big enough to need to be able to wander around with my laptop. Sadly enough, my 50 foot ethernet cable was more than enough to allow me "mobility" in browsing the net.

Anyhow, in other even more exciting news... I have an Xbox now! So myself, Free, and Big Chicken spent a good eight hours blazing through the co-op campaign tag-team style *grin* Much fun was had, much anger dealt with, much stress relieved. Tonight shall be another fine night of Haloing, Big Chicken is coming over after work and we're going to order some pizza and play some rockets.

Other than that my life is boring... and if anything exciting happened I've either forgotten it for the time being, or I really don't want to tell you people ;-)

Sorry, I missed that memo...

Two weeks without internet is one thing when you're on vacation, but honestly I was more than ready to catch up emails and have the ability to Google back (sad, I know) by the time I returned to the fair state of Nebraska from yonder sandy shores. Enter the moving factor. Moving screws up everything *wry grin* Thankfully, the sheer awesomeness of my new apartment is enough to make up for the fact that I don't get internet till the 7th of this month (right now I'm being evil and "borrowing" someone's Wi-Fi network that lives somewhere on my block).

Speaking of the sheer awesomeness of this place, it is indeed quite awesome. Tens times better than my last apartment *grin* We're currently at war with the people that live in the apartment next to us though, they stole our couch and turned all our furniture upside down... Yes, we did get our couch back (it's a nice couch!), and now we must seek our revenge. As a side note, the people that live in the apartment next to us our friends of ours, so it's not like some random strangers are stealing our stuff *grin*

Now, to explain the title of this post... Yes, I know, normally I don't explain the titles of my posts, but this time I will. It's quite simple, my sister got engaged 5 days ago and didn't bother to tell me until yesterday, was I supposed to notice or something? Kinda hard to notice when I don't live at home anymore, no? Anyhow, yay for her! And double yay for communication! Can I hear a shoutout for communication? Doubtful... Oh well, I'll live.

Anyhow, when I get a chance I'll put up some pictures from my vacation.
